I’ve read some great stuff on parenting lately:

• A Prayer For Gospel Parenting

• A blog post filled with parenting advice by a pastor friend in San Francisco— 21 Years of Parenting.

• A provocative article in Atlanta Monthly entitled, “How To Land Your Kid In Therapy—Why the obsession with our kid’s happiness may be dooming them to unhappy adulthoods.”

So what’s cookin’ with staff changes at SRPC? Josh Gilman is the interim director of Student Ministry, serving with Rachel Ebert, Kate Amesbury, and Tyler Commons on his team. Dan Anderson, Adam Jones and Brandon Lauranzon will all be teaching on Wednesday nights throughout the fall. We don’t anticipate hiring a new director of Student Ministry until next spring. Aimee Kelso is directing our MOPS Ministry and Rebecca Lubatti is handling our Children’s Ministry responsibilities. Both Aimee and Rebecca serve under the oversight of Robyn Shipes. I love the camaraderie and teamwork of the staff I get to work with everyday at SRPC!

Looking forward to worship this weekend. I’ll be preaching on the glory of God from Ezekiel 1. It should be a blast!
