Dear Fam,

This weekend is big for SRPC. We are ordaining a pastor! Brandon Lauranzon is being ordained and installed as an assistant pastor at SRPC. Being ordained is a long and tiresome process requiring college, three to four years of graduate work at a seminary, Hebrew and Greek proficiency, preaching ability, Christian maturity, demonstrated ministry skill, and knowledge of the Bible, theology, sacraments, church history and church government. This weekend, at all three services, we’ll celebrate this milestone achievement with Brandon and Robyn. We’ll have a reception (with cake!) after all three services for them!

Project Beautiful is coming up. Project Beautiful is a morning where SRPC devotes itself to serve our community. This year we’ll be taking on beautification projects in the City of Crystal River. After a morning of working together, we’ll all eat together with a cookout at King’s Bay Park.

• Who are you going to invite for Easter — April 8?

• Maundy Thursday service is April 5. Students who have completed the Jr. Pastor’s Class will be joining. We’ll be receiving the one special offering we take each year at that service — One Great Gift for missions. This gift helps fund mission trips and special needs of our missionaries.

• Estate Planning — At Seven Rivers, we are all concerned about our spiritual state, and our daily walk with God. But many have given no thought to our financial estates, or how to organize them in accordance with God’s will.
The Mission to the World agency of the PCA offers a great seminar on estate planning which we are hosting on April 12, 2012. MTW wants to see Christians plan their estates wisely, with complex issues taken into consideration, such as:

How might we eliminate potential family conflicts over estate distribution?
What do will, probate, and estate design have to do with Christian stewardship?
Is there a way to reduce estate taxes and capital gains taxes to zero?

The seminar is presented without cost or obligation to you or our church. Most of us believe there is no such thing as a “free lunch.” If anyone has approached you previously about estate planning, they were probably in a position to profit from you. Our denomination has found it worthwhile to send out skilled professionals at their expense, to help Christians do estate planning. MTW even pays the tab for your meal. You pay nothing, and no investment products or services are being sold! The potential benefits could bless your whole family, Seven Rivers’ future ministry, or missions you wish to support, for many years beyond your lifetime.

Look ahead to see if one of these times is good for you:
Luncheon at noon on Thursday April 12, at Citrus Hills Country Club
Or, Dinner at 6:30pm Thursday April 12, at Citrus Hills Country Club

Call Linda Gangi in the office at 746-6200, or register online to reserve your place by April 6.

• Did you know that even with spending 8.5 to 9.0 million dollars on our sanctuary, student ministry center, and gym renovation, our mortgage is down to $810,000. Wow – God is good to SRPC! I’ll see you this weekend in worship.
