Dear Fam,

Merry Christmas SRPC family! Here’s the Christmas Week schedule.

· Saturday night (Dec 21) at 7:00 is Christmas at Seven Rivers (there are about 10 tickets left at this hour!)
· Sunday at 10am—Worship—we’ll celebrate the 10th anniversary of worship in our Sanctuary!
· Tuesday—Candlelight services at 3pm, 5pm & 7pm

Christmas Eve worship is always beautiful and sweet. Each year, we try to tell a story of some life that’s been totally transformed by Jesus. This year, we’ll tell Dean Smith’s story—it’s deeply moving. I can’t wait to share Christmas Eve with you.

• Struggling to enjoy Christmas? Catch this children’s video—it’ll warm your heart.

• Oh what a difference one year can make. Here’s a very encouraging end-of-the-year report from Dana James, our SRCS headmaster.

• Looking for a place to serve in 2014? ITEC—the mission of Steve Saint that we are privileged to partner with in Dunnellon, is asking for volunteers with some automotive or mechanical gifts to add to their valuable ministry. Check it out and go pitch in to help if this opportunity torques you!

• Want to read a book that will ruin your holiday? I just finished Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America, by Gilbert King. This is the account of the arrest of four young black men and the imprisonment, abuse and murder of these men (by law enforcement) for a crime they didn’t commit. All this took place not far from Citrus County and not very long ago. It will break your heart.

• Here’s our post Christmas schedule:
· Dec 28/29 & Jan 4/5—Finish and begin the year with your SRPC family in worship
· Jan 11/12—Party on the Lawn Kickoff; we'll sign the walls of the new preschool!
· Jan 18/19—Three weekend services begin (6:00 Sat; 9:00 & 10:50 Sun) / Lord’s Supper

• "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory. Glory as of the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). This is what I long for SRPC to be—a people that reflect our Savior’s beauty, a place full of grace and truth! See you in worship this weekend and on Tuesday!

Love,

Ray
