Dear SRPC Family,

Will you pray for Diane and me? Next week, I’ll be speaking at a retreat for 200-300 MTW missionaries (MTW is Mission to the World—the PCA’s foreign mission agency) who labor in Central and South America and the Caribbean. The retreat is in Mexico and only happens once every four years for the missionaries. Pray for me—I get scared! Pray for Rich Greete, too, as he’ll be counseling there all week.

• Great blog post from Chuck DeGroat (who used to counsel here) entitled “The Tyranny of the New.” It is an unabashed call to love the church as your family.

October and November are filled with SRPC highlights:
• Oct 10—Kiev Symphony Orchestra and Chorus
• Oct 23/24—New Members Join Seven Rivers
• Oct 30/31—Baptisms
• Oct 31—Trunk or Treat
• Nov 5/6—Leadership Institute—“A Praying Life”
• Nov 20/21—Churchwide Thanksgiving Dinner

The best of the best, however, is weekly worship. Josh Bales, Dan Beilman, Guy Peshek and Chad Robison (our new worship director) will all take a turn leading us musically in October! Can’t wait to see you this weekend.
