Dear Family,
Trunk or Treat was amazing. A great job by our Children’s Ministry staff and all of you who volunteered—especially those who did trunks. It was such a great party to invite our community to! See pictures here.

• Baptisms last week were awesome, as was Mike Wright’s testimony. If you missed it, you can watch here.
• Hunger Week is coming—November 12 – 20.
One in seven people in the world will go to bed hungry tonight. In our church alone, that would equal about 200 empty stomachs. On Halloween night it was estimated that the global population passed a new milestone – 7 billion people. The task of caring for our fellow human beings who are in need is enormous, and can feel overwhelming. However, the best place to start is locally, in our community and in our own hearts. Hunger Week gives us an opportunity to do just that! Hunger Week is comprised of five components:
1. A special Hunger service and sermon on November 12th & 13th
2. Altering your diet for one week to experience what it’s like to be “food insecure.”
Choose one of the following options:
• $1.25 per day/per person (global hunger track)
• $4.25 per day/per person (local hunger track)
3. A week-long, daily devotional for individuals and families on hunger, poverty, and the gospel
4. “Soup Kitchen & A Movie” Night on Wednesday, November 16th, 5:30–8:00 in the gym. The movie will be The Pursuit of Happyness. Childcare will be provided for 0–5th grade.
5. Shopping at Publix after both services on November 19th & 20th. Return to church to drop off your groceries and eat a meal together. Food will be donated to the “We Care Food Pantry”.

• Pray for Brandon Lauranzon—he has his oral exam to be ordained on Monday, November 7 at 8:30 am.
• Senior Ministry Fall Potluck Dinner and a great program this Monday, November 7 in the Florida Room.
• Thanks for praying for me as I spoke in Asia. It went great. There was palpable evidence of the Holy Spirit working at this retreat. I spoke, but you guys provided the power—thanks. Would you pray for me this Sunday night, too? I’ll be in Jacksonville speaking to about 400 at the 20th anniversary of a wonderful ministry called Coaches Honor.
• I’m preaching this weekend on Genesis 4:11-26. We’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back Saturday night or you’ll be here at 9:00 on Sunday morning, actually about 9:15 for many of you!
Love,
Ray
