Dear Fam,
· Isaiah 9: 6-7 – “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.”
· A Seven Rivers Christmas last Saturday was spectacular. The room was packed end to end, every row filled, chairs in the back. The choir and soloist were lovely, the orchestra talented, the dancers magnificent, and Chad was a treat to watch. The army of volunteers was beautiful—parking cars, taking tickets, ushering, selling concessions—wow, what a night. Special plaudits to the choir, who worked hard to prepare and sold so many tickets, to the staff program team, and to Chad Robison who bore the most responsibility. It was a beautiful night for a beautiful Savior.
· Christmas Eve is going to be sweet. Services at 3:00, 5:00, and 7:00 pm. I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you. I’ll be preaching on John 1:1-5, 12, 14.
· To those who are traveling and won’t be here Christmas Eve, I want to wish you a joyous Christmas. I love being a child of God, I love being a pastor, and I love doing life with the SRPC family. Thanks for letting me labor at a place filled with such joy and delight.
Love,
Ray
